Mobile posting

What's up guys, this is a test for my mobile posting. Yeahh Buddy.

Jionni or no Jionni?

After last week's episode my thoughts on Snooki and Jionni's relationship have definitely changed. Anyone who knows Snooki or watches the show knows she's a crazy party girl, but how far is she willing to go? Last week, Snooki's boyfriend Jionni came to Italy. A few short hours later Snooks sent him packing, and here's why:

Ya, definitely a no-no when your boyfriend is around Snooks. But knowing Snooki in the past 3 seasons of Jersey Shore is shouldn't be a shocker to anyone, especially her own boyfriend. So after this little peek-a-boo dance, Jionni packs up and heads back home.

But is this gorgeous guido a concerned boyfriend, or just straight up jealous?

I think he's a bit too possessive for Snooki. She's a wild child, and she just needs a man, not a boy to tame her.

Tell me what you think.

Need More Shore?

Missed last week's episode? Haven't seen an episode yet? Catch all your favorites on the link below to watch full episodes of Jersey Shore, including after shows and bonus footage all right here.

Journalism assignment

http://mashable.com/2011/07/18/facebook-marketing-journalists/

"Images get 50% more Likes than text posts, and links that are posted on the wall with a thumbnail image in the preview get 65% more Likes and 50% more comments than posts that are sans thumbnail."

I found this to be very interesting in this article because it definitely shows what people are looking for when using Facebook. If you don't know what your audience is looking for, you're dead in the water.

http://www.niemanlab.org/2011/05/vadim-lavrusik-how-journalists-can-make-use-of-facebook-pages/

This article was helpful discussing the uses that Facebook provides for users. I like how the article said that the Newsfeed on Facebook is in fact like a newspaper keeping up with friends and even networks, and the news comes to you.

This particular article was in my opinion repetitive and blended in the previous aarticles posted above. I did like how it stated Facebook gives more than 140 characters to tell a story, unlike Twitter who limits the posts submitted. I enjoyed the section on social story telling, because it is essential that journalism in this day and age is more personal than ever before.

Dating violence and the Jersey Shore

As everyone knows, Jersey Shore is an extremely popular television series that airs on MTV. People enjoy the entertainment that the show's cast members bring to the program, some viewers even follow the message the show sends out about "GTL" meaning gym, tsnning, laundry, and imitating the fist pumps shown by the cast in dance clubs, but do the cast members send out another message?

Dating violence among young men and women; is this the message that MTV's series Jersey Shore wants to promote?

A perfect example of how Jersey Shore sends out this message is simply by watching the relationship between cast members Ronnie and Sammi Sweetheart (shown above) evolve from the beginning honeymoon stage, to the wicked verbal and physical fights the couple encounters throughout their relationship.

Whether it is a mix of alcohol and mixed tensions between the couple, it does not change the fact that millions of viewers are watching the battles between these two, with the possibility of sending a message saying, "Girls it's ok to hit your boyfriend," and "Guys, if you're drunk, it's cool if you hit or scream at your girlfriend."

I was lucky enough to find a blog writing specifically about vionlence in relationships using Ronnie and Sammi Sweetheart at the prime example.

The Grumpy Sociologist: Contextualizing Dating Violence in Jersey Shore

Above is a video briefly summarizing the fights seen in Jersey Shore between Ron and Sam.

Sammi... Sweetheart?

So much for a being a sweetheart Sammi. Crazy girl.

Soo What The Hell Does Fist Pump, Push Up, Chapstick Mean?

LMAO. Love it? Hate it? Found it to be a complete waste of your time? Comment on it.

The Joisy Boysss

Can't forget about our boys now could we? Introducing Mike "The Situation", DJ Pauly D (my personal favorite), Ronnie (who is CLEARLY on steroids because of his roid rage), and Vinny (who has the craziest Italian family I have ever seen).

Who's your favorite? Who can't you stand?

The Jersey Girls.

As always, ladies first, introducing Sammi Sweetheart (not really), the beautiful JWoww, the newest member of the cast Deena, and last and definitely not least, the one and only Snooki.

Besides Snooki, Jwoww's my favorite. Who's yours? Does anyone else besides myself feel like Sammi's a brat?

Benvenuto!

Season 4 the Jersey Shore crew packs up and heads to Italy. What kind of drama will stir up in the motherland? Get ready Italy, because Jersey's coming to you!

Welcome to Fist Pump. Push Up. Chapstick.

Hey guys, welcome to Fist Pump. Push Up. Chapstick. This blog will include updates, comments, discussion, and hopefully your thoughts about, if it isn't obvious enough, MTV's series Jersey Shore. We all live busy lives, and personally for me bartending full time, attending Point Park full time, and keeping up with my favorite shows is hard to balance, so why not keep each other posted? The great thing about this blog is I would love to hear everyone's feedback. Whether you love the show and follow it every week, or can't stand the thought of the idiocy of the series, I wanna hear what YOU have to say. So, get your bronzer, hairspray, and fists pumping, because Jersey Shore is here. YEAH BUDDY.
